  10. My two USR Courier V.Everything modems seem to have difficulty
  11. recognizing one type of distinctive ring of the local telephone
  12. system -- one with a long pulse and low frequency.  (They readily
  13. recognize another type of ring that's shorter and faster.)
  14.  
  15. USR tech support says there's no option to adjust the V.Everything
  16. for a Distinctive Ring, nor can I find anything in the manual that
  17. might constitute an adjustment.

  19. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a workaround?
